No, we can’t. Boxes have to be picked up daily, that rule isn’t going to change. There’s a barcode inside each blue box that must be scanned daily, plus not picking up the mail is delaying the mail, which is a federal offense

Had this issue once, 2 drives kept not initializing during boot, rebooting a few times got them to register but showed drive errors. I thought either the drives or my SAS card was dying. Fully reseating the connectors fixed it and haven’t had an issue since.

This isn’t technically new, mail doesn’t get a postmark stamp unless it’s collected over the retail counter by clerks, and usually only on regular stamped mail (non-metered). If you had your mail in your mailbox with the flag up and is picked up by your carrier, it goes directly on the truck to the regional sorting facility and is processed and stamped there. Unless your mail comes directly from a regional sorting facility, it is not stamped at your local office if not handed in over the counter.

However, with election ballots, we are instructed to have them separate from other outgoing mail, regardless of when it’s picked up to be kept in office and delivered to the town hall/voting location the following day. This is the case with all 3 offices I’ve worked at, in 2 different regional areas. Only exception is if they’re absentee ballots for other towns.

Definitely drop a ballot off directly if you’re cutting it close to election day to make absolutely sure it’s counted in time though, and obviously, VOTE.

Uline sends out a lot of big thick catalogs to businesses, and they’re terrible about keeping an up to date mailing list. I get joy discarding them when they send them to vacant buildings (they’re 3rd class mail), and more joy when the few I do deliver go straight to the trash by the customers I deliver them to.

My wife was an au pair, she’s still in a few nanny/au pair Facebook groups and sees posts with asinine requirements all the time.

Once she saw a women post a nanny position for 4 kids with the same “bring your own snacks for my children” requirement and they were only paying $18/hr. Most nanny positions around here are paying $25ish depending on the hours and that’s for no more than 2 kids.

I saved a perfectly good 32" Trinitron from being dumped as e-waste a couple years ago, it was only missing the remote. Local church occasionally does an e-waste recycling day, and when I saw that beast about to be loaded I asked how much for me to take it off their hands, so a $10 donation to the church later I had a 100lb tv in my trunk.

There’s a lot of aspects that make it so effective, the acting, cinematography, the aspect ratio, being shot on location on an actual island lighthouse, etc. It’s a sense of claustrophobia and wonder as to what’s inside the light. I adore the film.

I bought the blu-ray as soon as it came out, and once Arrow Films announced their 4k blu-ray with a lot more special features than the standard 4k here in the US, I ordered Arrow’s version from the UK.

I just finished Bojack last week. I watched through season 3 before but dropped Netflix and never got around to finishing it. I basically binged the whole show and as much as I’d hate to give Netflix any money, I’d buy a full series blu-ray in a heartbeat.
