An Australian fella.

Hmm. Managed to get Wireguard to connect to my VPS, but that kills AdGuard. Phone is unusable without AdGuard. WG Tunnel app crashes when opening so guess I’m stuck for now. Need the latter to chain VPN and AdGuard.

Had to update NewPipe tonight. Tubular still broken.

What useful information do they get from users?
Are they just referring to personal data when you sign up, or are they using deep packet inspection to see where their customers are browsing?

That’s why I got a Chiq TV. The local guy said they’re reliable and he can get parts.

I agree it isn’t great. But I don’t want to be in the abusive relationship with Microsoft. Yes I could probably just turn off the deep search option but they’ll just do something else.
Maybe there’s a better option than FUTO, it’s just the first thing I saw as a recommended alternative.
It seems if I swype carefully it’s reasonably accurate but I have to be patient.

It was your computer, and it was friendly.
I think I remember a Moth podcast about a girl who constantly shagged her beanbag.

My vote still for total launcher.
This post has just reminded me to change from Microsoft keyboard to FUTO. I wasn’t worried about the data harvesting, but it started redirecting my searches to Bing by hijacking the search button on the keyboard.
I’m 30% slower with FUTO though at this stage. Not sure if it’s my swype style being slightly out of calibration or my device is not fast enough to keep up. (Moto g84).
Will see how I get on.
I hear the XP Shutdown sound.

I think it’s in part because of NAT. Less and less people have a real IP address, so they can’t share the torrents to others, and most VPNs don’t provide an upload port either.
The tracker websites are also increasingly hostile with malicious ads, so those with ineffective ad blockers can’t use them.
Hehe that was me 40 years ago. A Toshiba upright shoebox mono tape recorder, a 3.5mm to chunky headphone plug adapter, and a toiletries bag neatly stuffed with 20 cassettes. This was pre-walkman era.

I agree. I’m on Debian. But on my Android phone I don’t auto update apps. Been bitten too many times.

All well and good, but every now and then we’re abused by updates that remove features, or add something we didn’t want.
0patch does have an advantage there I guess.

Tender Love & Care for your tele.
Could you have plugged it into a 4k monitor instead?

Reminds me of when the original Galaxy Tab 7 was my only phone. It was chunky but still fit pockets somehow. Was comically large but a good piece of kit back then.
Your combo sounds more lumpy.

Why not have two phones? I do that so I have a warm spare in case I break one.
Another task for “Feedback Hub.”
