I’ve been watching silent films and documentaries lately and the rest are 4ks I’ve been waiting to buy.

I can’t upload pictures to lemmy.world. I wonder what’s going on.

It’s available online at the internet archive if you want to see it before you buy it. It’s a beautiful, visually inventive movie. The story is heavy handed propaganda which I don’t mind personally.

I haven’t seen the other movie by the same director, The Cranes Are Flying, except for a clip of the famous long shot shared on Reddit.

Arrow’s The Warriors release for me. I also bought some Radiance box sets, Franco Nero and Dino Risi.

Mel Brooks’ style of humor can definitely get corny sometimes. Spaceballs is better depending on how much of a Star Wars fan you are. I think Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles gets the humor mixture better.
