I’m kind of limited in that I’m really only aware of films that have been exported for American audiences, the Jackie Chan/Sammo Hung/Jet Li/Bruce Lee/Shaw Brothers/Crouching Tiger type stuff. I’m sure there’s better that I just have not seen.
But my favorite is Kung Fu Hustle.
And Shaolin Soccer.

The goat. Hong kong triad/ Mafia movies are so good.
In the Mood for Love dir Wong Kar-wai. Some of the most beautiful cinematography ever.
Ashes of Time, notably Maggie Cheung’s scene. The friend that recommended the film to me prefers the original version, but I like the redux version.
