The high setting works great for making quesadillas.
Still has use cases tough. I had eough fresh bread go bad to freeze most of it now. The highest setting allows me to thaw and toast the bread in one go. Which is nice.

me to. Its great with pizza. they want the burnt corners and don’t like the softer middle of the square cut. Its like bananas. I have known people who like them where there cannot be any green at all. even the smallest tinge but they are fine with super brown and then others who can’t handle even the smallest tinge of brown but are fine eating green ones. Tbf whenever I happen to have bread stored in the freezer I still can’t use the highest settings on mine bc somehow it still gets burnt SO FAST
