          Koreans use ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ (hhhhh) and ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ (kkkkk). They also put ~~~~~ everywhere, apparently that makes things less serious.

            In Japan they’ll use either 笑笑笑 or wwww. Sometimes you see ハハハ which is a transliteration of hahaha.

              I’m American who grew up in Florida with a mother who grew up in Puerto Rico, with tons of Spanish exposure, and I still read that as “yah yah yah yah yah”

        It’s due to how the letter is spelled in brazilian portuguese, it more of a ‘kah’ sound, like a cackle.

    I live in a pretty international place, and when i was still on bumble, this kinda tracks. Every most chinese person i talked to, mainly talked business. The secone tging they askes was pretty much always what your job is and if it’s a good job. Sometimea the racism as well

          I actually had a hard time reading their comment. Maybe it’s because I was just waking up, but it’s generally a good idea to at least read what you’ve typed once before hitting submit.

          Edit: also you’re wrong. https://www.oed.com/dictionary/oughta_v?tl=true This word has been in use with this spelling since 1840. Language is fluid, Words are defined be how they are used, not the other way around.
