No, they make money out of it. Didn’t you see how they handled tarrif.refunds?
What killed the negotiations was the stupidity, greed, and arrogance of Trump and his top advisors
It seems to me that they could not possibly have made these demands without the expectation that we’d walk away.
Heyyyy someone is paying attention.
Golly gee, it’s almost like they never really wanted to make a proper deal at all…
That would be money flowing the wrong direction. Not gonna happen with the billionaires in control.
I’d say those billionaires are ripe enough. Time to bring in the harvest.
Overripe. Best thing to do with them now is make billionaire juice.
Stick em in the freezer for billionaire bread later.
As with Medieval Europe, the Royalty, Lords and Landowners will claim poverty whilst the poorest will pay and suffer unimaginably.
Liberals: “No. We’re going to cut funding for healthcare, schools, infrastructure and environmental protection and give all the taxpayer money to wealthy corporations so they can survive in these difficult times.”
EDIT: Downvote me all you want. But I’m pretty certain there’s going to be austerity measures in place soon to save on government spending, and all that extra cash is going to go into subsidies for companies. And the working class will lose jobs and get jack shit.
What? Most of what you mentioned is funded by the provinces. Health and education are among the biggest parts of a province’s budget. And AFAIK none of the four most populated provinces currently have a liberal government.
So the federal government does nothing? They don’t enact any policies? They don’t give money to provinces for specific programs? Why do we even have a federal government? What do they even do?
/s
Where do you think provincial governments get money from? It’s not just provincial taxes, but also federal taxes with wealth redistribution. Why do you think Alberta wants to separate so bad?
The federal governments enacts policies that have to be followed by the provinces. They provide funding for specific programs. Whether it’s healthcare, education, infrastructure, etc. If they decide to cut funding for these things to instead use it as subsidies to help Canadian businesses “stay afloat” (read : earn a little less profits) they can. And the provinces will just have less money to fund everything else.
You’re wrong and now you’re throwing a hissy fit .
Wow! What a convincing and elaborate argument! /s
Obfuscation fallacy. You’re smart enough to make convoluted and meandering arguments but too stupid to truly understand what you’re talking about.
I’m sure you have meaningful discussions online writing comments like that.
Go take your insults elsewhere.
Pot and kettle, you’re delusional
