Dave Bautista has closed his deal to play Kratos in Prime Video’s God of War fantasy drama series.
Series co-studios Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television reached out to Bautista and initiated talks shortly after they made the decision to recast the role following original lead Ryan Hurst’s serious on-set injury.
As Deadline reported, Hurst, who had been originally cast as Kratos in the adaptation of the popular PlayStation video game, tore a bicep while performing a stunt in late June, four months into the shoot.
I guess he’s better than The Rock
But not by much.
Why not Christopher Judge? He’s: great guy, decent actor, can do action, and is already familiar with acting as Kratos.
Well, you know why they don’t cast him.
Although normally you might be right. I’ve since learned on a different post he’s had a few knee and back surgeries. Makes sense he’s not being cast as an action hero in that case
That makes sense. At this point, it’s way too late to find someone that can act who isn’t already booked.
