Edit: For context, @db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com discovered that the developer of Tesseract had discretely banned numerous instances and disguised it as a server error. This included more heavily leftist instances, but also blahaj.zone. More recently, it was discovered that they had also been suppressing individual users, phrases, and communities that criticize power tripping on fedi.

Needless to say, I implore non blahaj.zone users to drop the Tesseract client (support for the client has already been dropped for blahaj). So called “liberals” like this who call out “extremism on both sides” are an insult to the values they claim to be upholding.

        That’s a bit cryptic, but I wasn’t really hiding that Tesseract had decided to do things differently from here on out.

        A: No. The filtering is disarmed completely for admins and for mods in their communities.

        There’s even a “you meddling kids” trope line in there

        And might I add that not one person complained until db0 went internet Karen with his hissy fit

        All in all a very entertaining read

    When you say “leftists” do you mean “progressives and anarchists” or do you mean “Tankies”?

    Frankly, DB0 has very low credibility in my books, they’ve been caught both-sidesing and enabling both white supremacists and tankies operations on the fediverse.

    EDIT: I took a moment to check out the post, I do disagree with secretly hardcoding a ban or censor rather than leaving it configurable.

    You were one of the few I remembered to check, seeing you not on the list was a surprise! I’m curious if they literally just blocked people on some kind of key word they said and you just happen to use alternative phases. Lol

    Edit note: it’s not that I’m stalking users, I happen to search satan, cum and fart all the time. Just ask my search algorithm!

    Damn, that’s too bad. Even mine made the list, and I’m relatively new!

    In the future, you should try calling for violence against billionaires more. Then you can probably make the list.
