During the Culling Game arc, our protagonists meet up with Tengen and discuss the method of freeing Gojo from the Prison Realm. Tengen suggests that the Inverted Spear of Heaven or the Black Rope is able to break open the back gate of the Prison Realm, however those were nullified by Gojo. Thus, their only option is Angel, a powerful sorcerer summoned by Kenjaku for the Culling Game with the ability to absorb a person’s lifespan and materialize them into weapons.

Um actually … Angel does not absorb a lifespans. She has the ability to extinguish curse techniques.
