Hey folks,
Here’s a little quality of life tweak that’s coming in the next Shattered Pixel Dungeon update. Health bars (enemy and player) will now visually indicate the amount of incoming damage over time by darkening part of their area. I’m making this change to go along with some other additions coming in the next update that will really benefit from being able to see total DOT at a glance.
This works with most sources of damage over time in the game, including ones with some randomness like burning and bleeding. When RNG is involved the amount of darkened HP can go up or down, but I’ve done some tweaking behind the scenes to make this less pronounced than you might expect.
Ah thats a cool qol improvement. Thanks for all the updates!
That’s such an interesting change
How does this work with Ring of tenacity, I use that ring a lot
Does it predict how tanky you will get as your health gets lower?
Regular damage resistance effects (e.g. elements) are considered but special sources of damage reduction (like tenacity) are not.
Increase the drop rate of meat and fire/ice traps to cook/freeze them.
Have most enemies have a chance to drop meat.
I like pixel dungeon… But the hunger is the worst mechanic. At least just an option to feed the little bugger (with effort.)
That was my favorite one. Enemies would drop meat like nearly 50/50. And raw would occasionally fuck you up. But cooked or iced greatly reduced that, but shouldn’t eliminate it. Maybe other a 10 percent chance?
This implies you lose a lot of hp during fights which means you cant starve for long, or that you path in a bad way. The game even with on diet on can be consistently beaten without too much issues.
