I really thought biocomputers were just the realm of sci-fi. How long til we get bio-neural gel packs I wonder?
I missed the earlier story but apparently they taught these things how to play Pong, then started working on teaching them how to play Doom!
Apparently, they’re already teaching it to solve engineering problems. 😬😅🤷🏽♂️
I understand why they’re so heavily invested in a neurological model for this, but it’s a little surprising that they don’t appear to have any behaviourists involved (at least, not from the way the journal article is written). They would have a lot to offer in terms of the nature schedule and of the “feedback” provided.
