So, basically apple made a modern architecture mobile chip on steroids that “surprisingly” outruns the old style chips with a lot of a unused relics in them. I appreciate that Intel and Amd keep their traditions but at this point they could at least try to make a maxed out chip in a different architecture to compete with Apple.
