Now that the new expansion is out, it seems like a good time to restart the trading posts.

Based on the trading volume in this community, one trading post per expansion looks appropriate; open to feedback.

Let’s also use these posts to facilitate sharing of cards! (If they serve a dual purpose, perhaps exchange hub would be a better name?)

As usual, feel free to use this post to find the cards you need!

    I’ve been playing around with the idea of a card tracking tool for the last few days. I don’t like any of the existing tools so I’m trying a different approach with a custom python one. Here’s the output of what I’ve come up with so far:

    I would’ve posted it here directly, but it’s actually over the allowable reply length for Lemmy because I wanted it to look nice… Oops…

    Anyway… I wanted a way to manage my “cards” outside of the game in a way that made it easier to share for posts like this one. I also wanted to be able to update it as new cards are released and dex holes are filled in. So far the new tool is able to do those things, plus pull in set data automatically from data miners (general game data not personal data like cards or profile) and guide you through entering your cards set by set using card numbers. I’ll probably post some screenshots in a dedicated post…eventually… Things are changing pretty rapidly as I have new ideas and figure out better ways to do things.

        It’s not much of anything yet but it’s not nothing either! I used it! It works! Huzzah! Hahahaha.

        More seriously though, most days I care more about collecting than being in the meta game but I find the sharing tools really crappy for a game that should be (and tries to be) built around being social. This is sort of my attempt to fix a personal point of frustration between the retail game and the outside world. We don’t want to buy packs to have nice things, assholes.

    First of all this is a great idea, thanks for posting it. I featured it in the community for now, we can figure out the right time to take it down later (you can do this too btw 😎).

    I’ve been meaning to find the time to go through my cards in game for awhile now. There are a bunch of cards that can be traded for now that I’ve never bothered to wishlist in game, and a bunch of high rarity dupes that I’d like to pass on to others here that need them. A lot of that could be done through gifting without burning trade tokens and shinedust if it was coordinated here first. I just have to find the time and motivation to do the boring part lol 😅

    I have a strong preference for the English version of high-rarity cards, but otherwise I don’t really mind.
