Monkin did do a great job of building an offense around Lamar Jackson. Until this last season he a solid track record with his play calling. This past year has been odd though.

Also another thought. He was the Browns OC when the Browns had Mayfield. Monkin was also successful at Georgia with subpar Qbs.

I suspect the Browns are picking up Monkin to groom and mature Shedeur Saunders.
