ugh, looking for counselling is not easy

when I was in nyc my doctors had a LOT of experience with victims of terrorism, maybe someone with experience with ptsd and first responders would be fine

    I’m teary and shaky

Hugs. I have no specific advice or recommendations. Probably a bit like you I have built a repository of stuff from psychs and yoga and various other modalities. I can link you some decent breathing/grounding stuff. If you are stuck just yell and I will give you some things to try.

(If a gp would help I recommend M3 health in spotto - DM if you want a bit more info about my doc)

Do you have access to an EAP? Converge has specialised first responders and critical event counsellors. Highly recommend Amanda Mitchell.

Also defence force and police - services might be limited to them, but they might know of a good counsellor outside of their particular field.
