Isn’t this more expensive to make? You’d have to use spoke nipples that are only threaded from the outside. Those are usually only found on more expensive wheels. I assume they’re pricier than standard nipples.
Mavic had a such a proprietary system yeah. Other options are like trying to get the nipples to place through the valve hole, absolute shit show
I was thinking of Mavic exactly! I don’t recall the model, I think it was Ksyrium that had this type of nipple threading.
Yeah I had a set of Deemax wheels some decade and half ago, and they were just massive PITA.
And I’m dumb, the rim on the pic is an actual Ksyrium. Says it right there. :D
