antivaxxers should get adult chickenpox, they will see how bad it can get. adult chickenpox is much more severe adults. shingles is minor compared to how bad chickenpox can get for adults. shingrx isnt available to <50yo, unless your immunocompromised.

Anyone can get Shingrex vaccine. About $300.

In Ontario, it’s free ages 65-75.

it isnt reccommeneded for under 50 due to lack of viral studies on that population and doctors and pharmacy are very resistant to approve an unapproved vaccine for under 50. also im not talking about people >50 at all which is covered by insurance.

not the same, adult chickenpox is getting varicella at adult age. shingles is the reactivated form which form dermatomonal blisters and rash.

Not exactly. Zoster virus as a child can lead to pox, flu symptoms, then recede into the immune system for life. If then immune compromised, the virus flares back up in nerve endings and skin, causing pain, inflammation, and can affect the brain.

Getting zoster for the first time as an adult is severe, but rare.
