    Toronto housing advocate Mark Richardson called the pause “unsurprising.”

    “Inclusionary zoning has always been something that would only work in a really strong economy, because you are essentially putting the burden of providing the affordable housing units directly on the private landowners.”

    Dude is correct. It seems like an interest-free loan from CMHC Build Canada Homes could have been a way to get the affordable housing built.

    Shocking. I guess the homelessness and affordability crises have to get worse for us to reach for effective solutions.
