    Unless your spoons are really sharp it won’t make much of a spark. Try forks and serrated knives for better effect

      Well, assuming they used plural because there are multiple in there at the same time, then they should spark just fine.

        Not necessarily. Video starts out with a spoon, and at 30 seconds on he’s trying two spoons

        Worth a watch, it’s good to learn about things we’ve been taught. I learned a long time ago that metal was safe in the microwave as long as it was smooth and up until then I thought NO METAL EVER. Mixing bowls without handles perfectly fine and great for melting things (like chocolate)

        Edit: I rewatched it and because it is so ingrained even my remembery was wrong. Doesn’t even have to be smooth (like a shark)

    It’s fun to watch, but don’t breathe the gases. Keep it closed until the smoke settles. That is plasma smoke…
