Something about Amazon selling me a show about a “late-stage capitalist hellscape” makes me feel…not good.
Capitalism will gladly sell you anti capitalist books and media. It gives no fucks about what its selling, as long as it can turn a profit.
This is even more true under late stage capitalism, where regulatory capture and monopoly action mean they have you by the balls.
Oh, absolutely. Maybe it’s the current world climate, but this one just feels like they’re laughing at us more than usual while doing it.
