Alright, apparently, he is going to sue NCAA to get one more year. Apparently he can make more money in college than as a rookie QB in NFL. LOL HOLYCRAP.

I know nothing about him (don’t follow college). If he were to go to the draft, where do you think he’d be taken?

He’s as good or better than Bo Nix or Shough in college(see my comment below). Nix went 1st round. Shough went 2nd round. Right now people have Moore as 2nd best behind Mendoza. Chambliss for me is the 2nd best. He has performed well in big games while Moore hasn’t. If he is in the draft, he should be 2nd or 3rd QB taken. He is only 6’1" so that’s going to hold him back.

Which round will depend on strength of other positions and team needs. Quinn Ewers went in 7th round and he certainly has NFL talent - maybe not starter but certainly backup, and he did well enough in the games he started for Fins. Because of his height, I would think 2nd round, but if a team wants him enough, he’ll go 1st.

There are 3 teams needing a QB: Steelers, Raiders, Jets. But next year’s draft will have Manning amongst others in it so some of these teams can sit on the position with a “veteran qb” from elsewhere.

All the projections I’ve seen are that he’d go pretty late, almost certainly day 3. Maybe late day 2 if he’s lucky or other QBs don’t declare for the draft (some have real eligibility left and can play another year in college without filing petitions)

Those projections are wrong. He’s as good or better than Bo Nix in college. Nix went 1st round. Right now people have Moore as 2nd best behind Mendoza. Chambliss for me is the 2nd best. Let’s say top 3 this year.

You’re right that I was wrong. Most recent thing I can find is he’s projected as UDFA.

Idk what you’re seeing, but it’s sure not the same guy I’ve seen play

Chambliss will now be entering the draft. IMO he’s probably the 2nd best QB prospect in the up coming draft. He’s accurate, got a quick release, decisive, mobile, and plays well in big moments as can be seen in CFP playoffs where he brought Ole Miss all the way back to be in a winning position only for the DEFENSE to let him down. If you can live with the shorter stature (Mendoza isn’t towering either) he’s your guy.
