These will no longer be taking up space in the knife drawer. They now live two and a half feet above the exact spot they are always used.

Is this made using 2 pieces of wood with a spacer between them to create a gap? Looks good! I finally got around to hanging my pizza paddle
Yes. I had a scrap and I cut it to the thinness I wanted. Then I drilled the back for magnets but I don’t have rare earth magnets so they weren’t powerful enough. So I took the part I cut off for thinness and just made that the front and used scraps for the spacers.
