Yeah, I get the sentiment, but there is such a cult of personality around him and it’s not like he’s mentally competent enough to be more than a puppet anyway. Maybe losing the figurehead would splinter the fascists…

I think he might be unpopular enough at this point that his death would be similar to Charlie Kirk’s, where the right is crying and pissing and shitting their pants for a couple weeks but nothing really comes of it except a few conspiracy theory podcasts getting more viewers.

I mean they launched an entire initiative to arrest political groups they don’t like based on the backlash. A bit too early to say it had no effect.

People lost their jobs speaking ill of Kirk’s death. Charlie is barely an apostle. Losing Trump abruptly would be akin to losing Jesus to these “people”.

The scientist in me says that there’s not enough evidence to reach this conclusion.

There would be a lot of infighting and the right would tear itself apart. Charlie Kirk’s death quickly became just another grift and the fight over TPUSA crowd turned ugly. Same would happen with Trump.

It probably doesn’t matter what they do it don’t do. It’ll always be framed as confirmation of fascist ideals.
