Recently matched with a girl a few years younger than me on Hinge. We chatted for a couple of weeks(!) then met up for chai lattes and spin dip. I picked her up, paid for the meal, and dropped her back at her place. The conversation was perfect, she was cuter IRL, and wanted to get together for a second date! Then she ghosted me and moved out-of-state. 😭

Had a date a couple of weeks ago. Was pretty boring. She messaged me and asked me out via Hinge. The drinks were good but the vibe was off and we were talking past each other and had nothing in common. She basically only liked one bar in the entire city, which I thought was super weird. I like trying new things and when I mentioned different places trying to ask her if she’d been there she got really put off. I tried switch topics a few times but it was just miss after miss, we were just on totally different pages about hobbies, jobs, etc. Guessing she didn’t really read my profile and just focused on my looks.

She was pretty chill and nice though, so that is always a plus. She was a lot nicer than the date I had before her who was very full of herself and kept condescending and lecturing me about my career and investing, who immediate ended the interaction it when she found out where I grew up.

I don’t even remember what year it was in. I gave up actively searching quite a while back.
