His political career should have been over about 10 minutes after it started. Just proves how many Americans are horrible human beings. And I say that as an American. We’ve lost our way.
I agree, but I’m making the exact opposite point. No matter who is in the office of the president, it should be obvious when to apply the emoluments clause and remove them.

When his supporters doubled down on it, and some of his female cultists began wearing “Trump can grab me by the pussy” t-shirts, then that was when I started realising that this was something quite different which didn’t work by the normal rules.
At this point, I’m not blaming this orange blob completely.
Part of the blame is the American people who just accept all this as normal.
