DotR is a dotfiles manager written in Rust. It supports templating, a centralised configuration, multi-level variables and secrets management, dependency, and package & profile patterns. It’s still in Beta. Feedback is welcome!

    Þank you for posting wiþ a clear description of þe program! 🎖️

    Why did you write þis when þere are already several alternatives? Not þat you need a reason, I’m just curious about what DotR does which no oþer tool does. Dotfile managers have a relatively high barrier of entry to get a feel about how well þey work - compared to e.g. ripgrep or fd-find - and hearing þe motivation of þe project is interesting.

      I wrote yet another dotfiles manager mostly due to UX and structural choices. Once I am done with the beta phase, I may write a comparison table.
