This is the case all over but it’s been awhile since the Dems have (appeared to) give a hoot about local elections. Moreover the voter base is just not enthused about voting in those of year elections compared with GOP voters. It’s gonna take a cultural shift. The Dems giving a shit about local races is a start but it’s not a change that happens overnight.
