There has been genocide and ethnic cleansing going on in Bangladesh for many decades carried out by the military and Bengali settlers against minorities who live in the hills. The minorities are tibeto-burman tribes completely un-related to Bengalis who are majority in Bangladesh. There has been sporadic attacks and massacres of these minority people have been going on in Bangladesh even in recent years that has not caught international attention. The people in this particular case are “Marama” or “Marma” or ethnic Arakanese people who live in Bangladesh.
