Just found out recently that I need glasses for distance

Just asking what the best way to wear them in VR is without scratching the lenses

Yes I’m aware of prescription lenses but they are currently not an option for reasons and will only be avalible to me later down the line

There’s little buttons on the side you can press to pull the shroud out further away so you can just wear your glasses inside the headset. My brother wears glasses and hasn’t messed up my Q3 when he’s used it so I assume it’s not so close there’s a huge risk to the lenses.

But you also can get prescription lenses for it. Or switch to contacts if possible 🤷‍♂️

I found out the hard way not to wear glasses, scratched my lenses up before I realized what the problem was. Had to repair it with used parts.

I’d recommend just not wearing the glasses unless you can’t see in VR well enough. It’s fine for me since the VR lenses focus the screen up close for your eyes. I can see the graphics clearly enough to not need to spend extra on custom Rx VR lenses

I recommend getting prescription lenses for the quest. There’s some overpriced commercial ones you can buy or if you have a 3D printer or access to one you can print your own frame inserts and buy cheap lenses to go in them. I recommend the latter option because it’s cheaper and if your prescription changes you can just buy new lenses.
