Call me cynical but it’s also kinda convenient for AT&T! Hmm.

Is it? I don’t know anyone who uses AT&T so it seems like a pretty minor inconvenience to everyone else and a major inconvenience for them. It’s like if you were the only iPhone user and ALL texts were green! Android users would be like… K.

I checked with a friend of mine who uses Verizon, and they were able to get my message from AT&T.

The article also points out this seems to be a thing in the Midwest. And AT&T’s outage map says my area is fine. So ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

It’s always something with AT&T. They always seem to have the worst service around here too.

T-Mobile will give your personal information to anyone that asks nicely.

I’m sure Verizon had their shortcomings too.

      They all suck.

Verizon produced Ajit Pai. We’re only just NOW undoing his bullshit.

They sure do, but Verizon seems to have the best actual cell service, at least around here.

Same sort of thing as Comcast, they are a horrible corporation but the actual service is good.

All the engineers that kept the lights on at AT&T retired and they weren’t backfilled / didn’t properly transfer their knowledge to the next generation.

A tale as old as time.

I saw some AT&T workers picketing recently. Are they still on strike? Anyone know what was up with that?

I’ve had this issue for four years with text messaging, and ATT does not care. It is still an issue today.
