I don’t know, but my entire office has been empty for the past week and there’s not a hint of traffic on my commute.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•I was recently gifted a Steam Deck for Christmas! If you only had a budget of, let's say 50 bucks, what would you get?
3·24 days agoI hate using a joystick for camera control, so I only play 2d titles on my deck. Mostly DRG: Survivor, Tribal Hunter (no, really. It is excellent), and Hades.
BG3 is another good bet too.
She’s definitely going to apply a lot of force somewhere.
Not really. He’s a vocal racist douchebag who pretends to be an athlete to chase clout. He engaged in competition with an actual athlete and got immediately and embarrassingly wrecked.
It’s like if Musk had actually fought Zuckerberg and immediately had his face caved in. I don’t care that the Zucc won, I just care that Elon got his cheeks clapped like a little bitch.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•"Flushable wipes"; "dishwasher-safe"; "odourless" - What are some other blatant lies that companies get away with?
12·1 month agoSome of us live in hot climates. Without deodorant, I stink bad enough to smell myself by around noon.
If femboy is feminine boy, then it should be masc girl. Which lesbians call them mascs a lot so…I guess they are?
My best advice is not to worry about it. Everyone likes femboys, so you just decline any invitations you receive from men in the same way you would decline unwanted advances from a woman/enby/etc. you find unattractive.

TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•Venturing into the world of black teas, I finally decided to try Earl Grey
2·1 month agoYou should try and Earl Grey Marteani. It was one of the first revival cocktails intended to be super likeable to get people back into drinking gin.
2oz Earl grey gin .75oz lemon juice .75oz simple syrup 1 egg white/.75oz aqua faba/a few shakes of fee foam/the foaming agent of your choice Shake and serve up. Put some bitters on the foam if its smell bothers you.
Earl grey gin is made by dumping ~5 teabags into a bottle of gin for 2-8 hours at room temp.
I disagree that covering Rhodesian arms is a red flag. Rhodesia gets sucked off by a lot of terrible people, but their arms are legitimately interesting because they are different and because they have influenced a lot of modern conflicts.
I also agree that FW is very sus. He famously had a falling out with InRange TV over whether 2A rights should extend to people of all identities or not. If he isn’t a bigot, he is at least a coward.
“Even” Picard.
As if any of us could be lucky enough to know that shiny domed stallion. The fact that Picard wasn’t eyebrows deep in desperate hotties and himbos flinging themselves at his feet is a testament to the show runner’s restraint.
Heads up, “payed” is a nautical term for putting out rope. “Paid” is what you’re thinking of :)

Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Anyone a fan of Wizardry, or other first-person dungeon crawlers?
4·2 months agoI generally don’t enjoy dungeon crawlers very much, but Barony swallowed my life for several weeks recently. I highly recommend it.

movies@piefed.social•New ‘Demon Slayer’ Film Tops ¥100 Billion ($643 Million) Worldwide; Said to be Record High for Any Japanese Film
2·2 months agoNot at all. My partner took me because they’re super into demon slayer and it was easily the most boring movie I’ve sat through.
They were absolutely in awe though. Evidently the personal lore drops were big.
scoobford@lemmy.ziptomicromobility - Bikes, scooters, boards: Whatever floats your goat, this is micromobility@lemmy.world•What do you do to keep your bike safely locked up?English
3·2 months agoKryptonite makes some solid chain locks that I like.
But I think the most important thing is to always leave your bike next to other bikes that are more desirable (I.e. both noticeably easier to steal and more expensive).

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.ca•What is the actually healthiest and most sustainable health-wise "juice"?
3·2 months agoIf you’re concerned about the price of kombucha, you can always make it yourself. It’s quite easy and very cheap.
You can use them for more spirit-forward cocktails, like an old fashioned or Martini. It makes a difference, just not one that is proportional to the increased cost for most people.
Not really. You can get a DUI for sleeping in the backseat of a car and you can get charged with vagrancy or public intox for sleeping it off in public. You have to go home (or to someone else’s home), and the car is probably the only way to get there.
That’s why designated drivers and taxis/ubers are so important. The only alternatives are dangerous or illegal unless you can find and afford a spontaneous hotel or you live in a big enough city to have useful public transit.
Then you have to spend the rest of your life on HRT. And not having balls probably causes a lot of cis men dysphoria.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you were some sort of mythological trickster god, what kind of tricks and pranks would you be pulling?
3·3 months agoI’d offer people bargains to enrich themselves at the expense of others and then use my trickster powers to make them regret it.
Or if I could change shapes, I’d just rob bad people and do petty vandalism.

It depends on the stove. The gas stoves in my building are much better, but that is because this place is ancient and the electric cooktops in question are whatever crap they find secondhand.
