  • People at work always assume i’m 20-26 years old. People who are actually that age always talk to me as if i’m that age. The other day i talked to an electrician, he was 23, and his co workers were younger than him. Like they played call of duty on their phones on their break. Sometimes just in between breaks, which i don’t care, but they were super behind and that’s why i had to talk to the guy. I told him that they really need to hurry up, they are behind and if they are not finished this week, it’s gonna ve real expensive. He looked at me for a few seconds, dabbed, said something i did not understand and ran off ro do his job. I never felt that old in my life, are people still dabbing? A day later, they pulled me into a conversation and i legitimately had no idea what they are talking about, and i usually at least have some clue. I told them that i’m 41 and have no idea what you mean. They then proceeded to actually talk to me like a human.

  • From my understanding, they knew it wasn’t exactly healthy, so they did limit the intake to a “healthy” level. Their life expectancy wasn’t that great anyway compared to now, so i think it was a bit of a mixed bag. People thought that cigarettes were healthy, and then they figured out they are not, but people still smoke… Like a lot.

  • One day i was at a gas station and some ridiculously bug truck just oeeled out. They are not very common here at all thankfully. He put the pedal ro the floor and made a ridiculous noise. I never quite know what they think this looks like for bystanders, so my first impulse was to piont and laugh. There was a roundabout near by and a few seconds later i heard that noise again. He came back and followed me into the gas station and asked me what’s so funny. I was so confused about that level of insecurity or whatever you wanna call that. I shrugged and said i thought that’s obvious. I thought he gained some self awareness and walked off, prdal to the floor again. I wasn’t outside to point and laugh again, but it would’ve been funny.
