Mine are playing Minecraft and Roblox under Linux without problems. I don’t remember what I did for Minecraft, but for Roblox you need something called ‘Sober’.

Correct me if I’m wrong but as far as I know trees are no real solution. Yes, they take CO2 to grow, but everything is released again when they die and are consumed by bacteria which just didn’t exist a few million years ago. So they only ever store what the forest is made of and not a bit more. They will rot and never ever become coal again. So while it sounds nice to plant a forest and there are other benefits, when if we planted a forest on every inch of the planet it would not solve our problem. Am I wrong here? Tell me!

A colleague of mine lost a finger a few months earlier while climbing a fence, jumping down and forgetting about his wedding ring. Anyway, we were in a conference call with another office and he jokingly wanted to check the video feed. He asked them: “how many fingers do I hold up?” In that moment I came up with “I’ll give you a hint! It’s not 10!”. It was funny because everyone had forgotten about his finger and only realized after a few secs.

Naja, die Bowling-Arena ist weiter weg, weil die Miete sonst zu teuer ist. Und wenn der Bewegungskreis der Menschen geringer wird, dann werden die Preise in der Innenstadt nicht kleiner. Und eine Bowling-Arena wird sich dann ganz sicher nicht einen Platz dort leisten können. Die Reichen können dann schön flanieren und Fahrrad fahren, aber die kleinen Dienstleister/Arbeiter werden weiter draußen wohnen und dann mit Öffis rein fahren. Aber das wird auch passieren, wenn die Autos teurer werden und das ist ja auch schon im werden. Die Schere geht halt weiter auseinander. Das sollte man Mal angehen, aber das ist eine andere Geschichte.

Es spart keine Zeit, aber es erhöht die Lebensqualität, wenn man halt z.B. zum Bowlen fährt, statt Zuhause zu bleiben, weil der Weg zu weit ist. Oder den Job nicht annehmen kann, weil der nicht gut mit Öffis zu erreichen ist…

German here, so excuse my ignorance, but wouldn’t it be easier to change the voting system to one that counts each vote as equal on a state level and get rid of the voting people stuff? Last time I checked you’re no longer riding horses to Washington…

We actually use method comments for user documentation as well. Only on specific business methods, but it’s nice to have a good comment for the dev and a tooltip for the user at the same time.

Anfängernummer ;) Gestern hatten wir mehr als 50 Gruppen über drei Stunden. Das geht in Neubaugebiet hier immer so. Unsere Großen waren sammeln, aber der 4-jährige hatte Ausgabedienst. So konnten die Erwachsenen selbst mit Freunden feiern.
