Where does that leave me?
Can someone fill me in on this “Tesseract” thing? I know what it is regarding geometry & spacetime & whatnot, but how is it related to Lemmy?
(80s-90s sitcom laugh track)
I like to think that Washington DC is the fourth, seeing as it’s the national capital, the political & historical center of America, and the fact that things that happen in DC have not just national, but international effects.
Also a fair bit of personal bias tbh, seeing as I live in the metro area.

These are a few of my favorite things.
My memories go back to about age 4-5, when I lived near/in the Phoenix metropolitan area. I remember rolling down this one grass hill a lot, a passing, irrational fear of this one riding lawnmower that often came near said hill, an asymmetrical, irregular-shaped pool, a red ball going over a brick wall, and Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory album on this CD boombox I had.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•marble balls floating on water are nice sculptures. why doesn't the water squirt out like when you pinch a garden hose ?
6·21 days agoGMU’s Manassas campus has something like this; I think it has something to do with the pressure of the water within the basin resulting in an ultra-thin, low-friction “cushion” for the ball to rotate on.
I was listening to Hybrid Theory on a old CD player when I was 5, and for years Dad would often as not have the classic rock/heavy metal channels playing in the car.

10 years later, I have since been thoroughly disabused of that immature, uneducated teenage mindset.

3·30 days agoJust woke up. Currently at my grandparents’ place near-ish the Outer Banks in northeastern NC for Independence Day weekend. Managed to dodge a hangover, far as I can tell, and that’s always a plus. Not quite Satan’s Nutsack like it is in the DC area where I ACTUALLY live, but still supposed to hit high 90s (F) here over the weekend. May fish tomorrow.
Overall…fair. Be good if I could find that damn water bottle.
Addendum: Found it. Life is good now.
Let’s get him to make one, then.
